Last night, I went to watch Vantage Point with my friends. I must admit that prior to couple days ago, I hadn’t even heard of this movie. The only reason we went to see this movie was because this was the only movie that was remotely interesting and playing at a time that suited our schedules. Some may not consider this a good reason to watch a movie but it works as any other.
This movie focuses on the assassination of a president and the story is depicted from 6 different perspectives. More and more information is revealed in each vantage point with it culminating in the last. The movie has good actions and some good thrill but has too many loose ends and farfetched action scenes. While it is revealed that the attempt at assassination is by a terrorist group, the reason for this is conveniently left unexplained. Another thing that is hard to swallow is that the terrorists who without mercy killed thousands of people earlier in an explosion suddenly don’t want to run over a little girl………..GIVE ME A BREAK!!
Another thing that is quite farfetched is the action sequence in this movie. The car chase in the climax of the movie certainly defies all known laws of Physics. The only cool thing about it was that it reminded me of the video game: Need for Speed with all the chasing and smashing into buildings and other vehicles.
All in all it was good times as we had the theatre to ourselves and thus could freely make comments throughout the movie without worry about disturbing others.

I believe you've misunderstood the movie. The reason they showed so many vantage points is because they, themselves, don't know the real story behind it.
They found out what happened{assassination} and decided they should find out about it as much as possible. So, they went around asking these people, who coincidently happened to be Hollywood actors cloaking themselves as different individuals.
And the whole terrorists not killing that little girl, that was the daughter of Mr. Roacher - she never listens, always running around on sets. One of these she will be run down, don't worry.
I suggest a second viewing, but make sure you keep my vantage points in mind.
Since I was one of the people who went with you, i must talk about this movie as well. It was retarded beyond belief! I was really hoping for some good things since the cast was awesome. There was Mathew Fox for eye candy, Dennis Quaid for some old school charm, and the black dude who just recently won an oscar. But they really dissapointed me. Through these different vantage points, they should've known what the purpose of the assasination was. I also really wanted to know why Mathew Fox decided to be involved in this plot. I found the little girl in the movie to be extremely annoying and I wouldn't have been really sad had she been run over. Why the hell was she running towards her mom in the middle of a busy street?? She looked like she was atleast 10 and should've had more common sense than that.
Since I must look at the positive side to everything, I will admit that the action was awesome. I loved the car chases even though they defied physics. I enjoyed how the same scene was being shown in different views. That was really cool however, after about 4 views, it started to get old. They should've cut down on the different view points.
